What $385 buys
The membership covers a workstation in a shared suite plus the building services: reception, cleaning, internet, kitchen and access to the common areas. The suites themselves range from 75 ft² to 237 ft² of shared floor area, so the density varies noticeably between addresses. The most generous footprint is at Levi's Plaza on Battery Street at 237 ft²; the tightest is at 315 Montgomery Street at 75 ft². Same price, very different elbow room — worth checking before you commit a team.
When a desk is the wrong answer
Here is the number most coworking guides skip. In our listing a private fitted room of 43 ft² at 75 Broadway or 1390 Market Street is priced at $130 a month, and an 86 ft² room at 166 Geary Street also lists at $130. For one or two people, a lockable private room can cost a third of a single coworking desk. Coworking earns its premium when you need the shared floor — the meeting rooms, the reception, the community — not when you simply need somewhere quiet to sit.
Add the rooms you actually book
Meeting rooms are listed separately from $120 a month in all 11 buildings. A business address with mail handling is $110, and a virtual office plan starts at $100. A common and sensible combination for a distributed team is one business address plus a meeting-room allocation, at $230 a month total, instead of desks nobody occupies four days a week.
Where to sit
Financial District addresses — 50 California Street, 580 California Street, 315 Montgomery Street, 505 Montgomery Street, 75 Broadway — put you inside the client-meeting radius of the banking and legal cluster. 95 Third Street in SoMa and 1390 Market Street on Mid-Market sit closer to the tech and civic side of the city and to the Market Street transit spine. Levi's Plaza at 1160 Battery Street East trades the tower experience for a low-rise campus by the waterfront. On the Peninsula, 611 Gateway Boulevard serves the biotech corridor and comes with the parking that downtown does not.
