Large plates in older towers sit far below the trophy number — 580 California Street quotes $1.94 on its 9,634 ft² floor — which is why occupiers arriving from Manhattan routinely discover they are paying a fraction of what they left behind for a comparable view.
What a month costs
Monthly totals run from $130 to $21,500, with a typical unit at about $3,300. A quarter of the offices are priced under $1,380 a month and a quarter above $6,625. In plain terms: 19 units sit below $1,000 a month, 32 below $2,000, and 15 above $10,000 — the last group being full floors of 3,000 ft² and up.
How much space you get
Units range from 43 ft², a single fitted desk, to 9,634 ft² at 580 California Street. A typical unit measures 969 ft², which comfortably seats eight to twelve people at San Francisco densities. Serviced formats are priced differently

These are flat monthly prices. Their implied rate per square foot is meaningless, and comparing a $385 desk against a $2.67 floor rate will only mislead you.

Set your budget as a monthly total first, then filter by area. Between roughly $1,400 and $6,600 you are in the deep part of the market and will have genuine choice. Below $1,000 you are shopping serviced rooms. Above $10,000 you are shopping whole floors, and at that level free months and a fit-out contribution should be on the table before you sign.
